You read it and you re-read it. You let it sink, savor it, and then you let out a sigh of gratification and you internally thank the author for the blissful moment when he wrote that line. Well, this book is full of those moments. In fact, this whole book is magical. I thought I had known Gibran after reading a few books of his, but I was mistaken. It would take a thousand page to capture one squint of his endless wisdom. I have nothing more to add but to grant you a sip, in the hopes of persuading you to taste from the Great river of his wisdom. And if it were not for the blackness of some of us, some of us would be dumb; and if it were not for the whiteness of some of us, some of us would be blind. There are times when I would be wronged and cheated, that I may laugh at the expense of those who think I do not know I am being wronged and cheated.
